My name is Maresa. I am the owner and founder of the newly established Toucan Play Childcare facility. I have had a passion for working with children since I can remember.

With over 10 years experience, I worked in diverse childcare settings in Ireland and abroad, and explored roles such Montessori leader, creative Arts and Craft teacher for After – school clubs, busy and innovative child-minding positions. I also travelled to South-East Asia where I volunteered in an Orphanage for underprivileged children in Myanmar and taught English to Kindergarten classes. From there I wanted to integrate my ideas I learned abroad and follow my dreams of opening my own service that fostered a safe and inclusive environment.

I completed my Honors Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education in 2021 and have also completed the LINC program for Leadership and Inclusion for children in Early years. I also hold a certification in Teaching Mindfulness to children and young people and holds a FETAC level 6 in Fashion design and I hope to carry my creativity into our varied curriculum.

I enjoy reading, swimming, tennis, hiking, spending time with friends and family in my spare time.
